Your treatment options
Porcelain or composite: find the right fit
Our practice offers porcelain and composite veneers. Both can improve your smile, but the materials, preparation, and treatment visits differ. Your dentist will help you choose an option suited to your teeth and goals.
Custom porcelain veneers
Porcelain veneers are custom-made shells placed over the front of your teeth. Treatment generally takes two visits. At the first visit, we prepare the teeth, take digital impressions, and place temporary veneers while your custom veneers are made. This usually takes one to two weeks. At the next visit, we bond the veneers and make final adjustments.
Composite veneers
Composite veneers use tooth-colored resin applied directly to your teeth. They may be completed in one visit, with minimal or no enamel removal. Your dentist applies, shapes, and hardens the material, then polishes it to blend with your surrounding teeth.
Planning your complete smile
Veneers may be combined with other treatments when appropriate. Teeth whitening before veneer placement can help us plan a shade that matches your brighter natural teeth. Tooth bonding can address smaller flaws on other teeth as part of your treatment plan.
